Master Romao Taekwondo School had 31 students compete in the Masters Cup 2006. Several of the school’s students achieved gold, silver, and bronze in poomsae and sparring. The Masters Cup started six years ago and was initially obtained by Kee’s Taekwondo. The following year, 2001, Master Romao Taekwondo School (formerly Woo Kim Surrey Delta Taekwondo) acquired the trophy. Chong’s Taekwondo obtained the cup in 2002, we then held the cup for three consecutive years from 2003 – 2005. For this year’s recipient of the Masters Cup we congratulate Master Fee’s School in Parksville.

Did you know?

  • Encouraging children to participate in a variety of sports is recommended because children who play one sport year-round are more likely to have over-use injuries.
  • Fitness and conditioning prevent injuries. Children should be active 30 to 60 minutes each day, on top of participating in a particular sport.
  • Ensure your child drinks plenty of fluids before and after sparring, water or sports drinks are best.
  • Injuries can happen at practices as well as during tournaments. Get the right sparring gear, make sure it fits, and make sure its worn properly... Always keep safety in mind.
